1. What is a WHO simulation?

The Model World Health Organization Conference aims to introduce and educate students with the realistic roles of a WHO World Health Assembly meeting. Open to students of all majors, this free, one-day event mimics the political, social, cultural, and economic realities defining global health policies. Student delegates will debate, prepare legislation, and vote on resolutions that could potentially be forwarded to the WHO headquarters for consideration.

2. Who can participate?

Any undergraduate or graduate university student from the DMV area (DC, Maryland, & VA). We are also open to High School students 18 and above.

The conference is recommended for students passionate about global health and policy, but it is open to all majors. There is no previous experience necessary to participate!

There are 4 roles in the conference

1. Chair Members

2. Delegates

3. Secretariat Members

4. Volunteers

For the conference, the Delegates makes the majority of the participants at conference. During Delegate Registration, you can list which countries, organization, company you would prefer to represent. If you prefer to be a journalist, you can select that as well! After registration, you will be assigned.

During the conference, Delegates are separated into committees (primarily based on regional offices) , lead by Chair Members, where you discuss and debate on the health theme!
