Hi Bill,
I hope your semester is off to a good start. We should try to meet for coffee one of these days to catch up.
I have a request for you. My collaborator, Dr. Brajesh Lal, a vascular surgeon at Univ. Maryland Medical School and the VA Medical Center Baltimore has a open position for a MS level statistician to work on the multi-center CREST2 clinical trial (http://secure-web.cisco.com/1Bprh9-iexeTGPjOTita40rmlVmZyX_bxY9cOok1XR6l9ghCZF2_7A08pxaKuev5l4M2mp6CWmNKO-u-otvhyHIGK3vsBPC6FuGTVTM6YMa7q2vVW4w1kLXKwYU738nKR_Mkw21kWMTChXVwE-ny8d5EBRU4CRP2GwfhRiLRJaPJHQtcjNs0vWVryv1UJLvZjUpGFes_tx02yOX-w_f7AomY_oKTP3QXYN2WtDuoRmd90LMfvWYzPxKDjEcovfMOx_nNPdlhZ2RiKL5dXYu3J_lK9yvGep1q9KNNLurr7S_X4Nz8YKHlLZAZhoBP0A0Gs8aiOuY2ExC0Go5C7AWrvtABvfGrZr8DekMRa-dOlyU3HNpO04lMRJjFuWGtLNnS1Kmi0qnLwvd_TasjCiI5_UNvYqo3ZrZar1KLpI0AmXMFn5NFjNgFzi0gaCLeywz2JtpOvk4kr_1E98BQblrSPig/http%3A%2F%2Fwww.crest2trial.org). Brajesh is one of the PIs of the CREST2 trial. The position is funded for the next 5 years, and the candidate will be working with a senior biostatistician. Do you know of any graduates from your program who might be interested in a research position?
I have been working with Brajesh for many years, and he will be a fantastic mentor and the candidate will have the opportunity to participate in the largest vascular trial in the country. This could lead to future PhD projects as well. Let me know if you have anyone suitable.
I am copying Brajesh on this email in case you have any questions.
Thanks!
-Siddhartha
