Founded in Fall 2015, the purpose of the George Mason University chapter of the American Statistical Association is to:
Unite and inform Mason undergraduate and graduate students about professional and academic opportunities in the field of statistics.
Provide opportunities for professional and career development outside of the traditional classroom setting
Create a community of like-minded individuals at George Mason that have a common interest in Statistics.
Undergraduate and graduate students from all majors and programs are encouraged to join!
As a professional student organization, the George Mason Chapter of the American Statistical Association works in collaboration with the Department of Statistics at George Mason University and the American Statistical Association.
This semester most of the meetings will be on Monday at 7:30pm to 8:30pm in ENGR 1602 except for Holidays and R-lectures.
This semester, there are a series called the R-Lectures for students which will teach you how to use the R programming language. These meetings will not be held on Mondays but on Tuesdays. The dates planned are September 26, October 24, and November 14 at 7:30pm to 8:30pm in ENGR 1602.
