Dear Students,

The AIT 690 002 (Smart Cities & Urban Computing) course is offered this semester. This course is a project-based course with no exams. In your projects you will apply machine learning techniques in Python on different datasets (excels sheets, images, text, maps, etc.) from different online and social media sources to solve real-world problems. The range of problems is wide and you have flexibility in choosing your projects. The course will teach you what kind of problems smart cities face, how to formulate those problems, how to look for data, how to formulate a solution, and what steps to take to develop the solution. The syllabus is available at: http://mason.gmu.edu/~mhashem2/SC&&UC_Syllabus.html
