You may be interested in a lecture by Dr. Patriica Sullivan, Univ. of 
South Carolina, on "The NAACP and the Making of he Civil Rights 
Movement" on Thursday, September 17, 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the Woodrow 
Wilson Center downtown (1300 Pennsylvania Ave., 5th floor seminar 
room). Commentators will be Julian Bond, Univ. of Virginia, and 
Kenneth Mack, Harvard Law School. A reception will follow. See
