*“150th Anniversary Civil War Military Reenactment Honoring All Soldiers
and the Union Medical Corps, Medical Evacuation at Fairfax Station,
Early Triage Site and Clara Barton, Angel of the Battle Field”*
*10 AM – 5 PM both days*
Civil War Reenactment commemorating the 150th anniversary in late August
1862 Medical Evacuation via Fairfax Station of 3,000 wounded soldiers as
well as Clara Barton’s ministering to the suffering troops. It was the
first time ever using a modern based mass transportation model for large
scale disaster evacuation and first aid protocol still in use today.
