Subject: GRADReCon: Graduate Research Connections on Friday, Nov. 6

Dear colleagues,

Graduate Student Life, University Libraries, Writing Center, Learning Services, and Office of Graduate Fellowships have partnered to develop a new offering specifically for Mason graduate students, aimed to promote their research, writing, and productivity. Graduate Research Connections – GRADReCon, for short — is a day full of workshops on topics including writing a literature review, managing large projects, Zotero, finding funding, managing data sets, getting published, GIS, staying current with literature in your field, and more. Graduate students can also make an appointment with their research librarian on this day.

We’ve planned GRADReCon to bundle these offerings together on one day to make them accessible to graduate students who may want to devote a day or part of the day to building skills for their success. We would appreciate your assistance with sharing information about GRADReCon to your students; below is an announcement you can forward. I’ve also attached a poster (legal-size), if you would like to print it out and post in your offices.

If you have any questions, please let me know. Thank you for your support!

Best,
Julie
