Subject: Professional Membership OR Conference Registration Reimbursement Request



Dear Mason doctoral student,



The financial impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic continue to be profound and affect many graduate students’ progress towards accomplishing their educational and professional goals.  In partnership with every Mason college and school, the Office of Graduate Education would like to offer financial support for doctoral students towards one professional membership OR one conference registration relevant to their research area.



Requirements:

  *   One membership OR one registration fee (up to $300) per doctoral student
  *   All reimbursement requests should be submitted by May 15, 2021
  *   Requests will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis and until all available funds have been exhausted

How can you take advantage of this opportunity?



  *   Find one highly relevant professional organization you would like to join as a member OR conference you would like to attend remotely
  *   Complete the membership application OR conference registration process and save the email receipt
  *   Application or registration must have been made during the period of September 1, 2020 through May 15, 2021
  *   Request your reimbursement by directly emailing [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> and strictly following these directions:



1) Attach the email receipt from the organization or conference in .pdf format, which should include:

        *   the name of the professional organization OR conference,
        *   membership type OR conference title and date,
        *   cost of membership or conference registration, and
        *   method of payment showing a zero $ balance



AND



2) Attach the completed GSTF Doctoral Student Reimbursement form (see attached).
