Former Friends:  George Washington’s Break with George Mason and Thomas Jefferson

Many speak of the “Founding Fathers” as a unit working together for the good of the nation, but in fact there was often very sharp disagreement among them. Noted Washington scholar and Emeritus Professor of History at George Mason University, Peter Henriques, will examine Washington’s break with George Mason and Thomas Jefferson, revealing not only some deep divisions on political issues but also interesting character traits of all three of these remarkable individuals.
