Dear PhD students,

A history teacher at Langley High School is looking for judges for her school's National History Day competition. It will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2:30-5:30. If you are interested in volunteering, contact Allison Herzig, at [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> .

Most of you don't remember that until 4-5 years ago the department used to host and organize the regional competition of National History Day, and many of our doctoral students served as judges. It's a fun and rewarding volunteer opportunity. It's like being a judge for a social studies fair, except all the projects are related to history.
