Dear All,
On the Wednesday after spring break, the Modern History Workshop will meet to discuss Sam Huneke’s draft chapter “Ambivalent Animus: Homosexuality and Socialism in East Germany” – the chapter is attached to this message. We’ll meet from 4:30 to 5:30 in the department conference room. I hope to see many of you there.
Also, please note that we’ve adjusted the schedule for one of the remaining sessions of the workshop. After Sam’s presentation on the 18th, we’ll meet twice more:
Tue Apr 14 - noon to 1 (conference room) Suzy Smith, “"The National Memorial to the Progress of the Colored Race in America: Elder Michaux and the Commemoration of Slavery in Virginia." (This session has been rescheduled from Wed Apr 1).
Tue, April 21 - noon to 1 (conference room) Lincoln Mullen, “America’s Public Bible, introduction and chapter 1”
Best,
Sam
