3. NEW Resume Builder tool

Resume Builder is our new online software that walks you through writing 
each section of a resume. You can input your personal information as you go 
and come out with a rough draft you can build on.

To access Resume Builder:
1. Log in to PatriotJobWeb
2. Click on "documents" in the menu bar
3. Click on the Resume Builder tab
4. Follow the directions through each step

Try it out then take your draft to our Resume Clinic to get it critiqued by 
area employers or career counselors on Thursday, Oct 1 from 11 a.m. to 6 
p.m. in JC, Room 116.

4. Walk-in hours

Stop by for a short visit with a career counselor. Walk-ins are done on a 
first come, first served basis.

Walk-in Schedule
Mondays 2 - 4 pm
Tuesdays 10 am - noon (and 4:30 - 6:30 pm when classes are in session)
Wednesdays 2 - 4 pm
Thursdays 2 - 4 pm
Fridays 10 am - noon

7. Get paid to interview

Accenture, a leading global management consulting, technology services and 
outsourcing company, is looking for qualified students to participate in a 
practice interviewing training. For helping us hone our recruiting 
techniques, you will receive a $50 American Express® gift card and sharpen 
your own interviewing skills.

Date: Thursday, Oct 29
Time: 10 a.m. or 1 p.m.
Location: Reston Accenture Office 11951 Freedom Dr. Reston, VA 20190

Specifically we are looking for 3rd and 4th year students and graduate-
level students who have good communication skills and are interested in 
working in a corporate environment.

Exact times will be determined after a phone screening. The time commitment 
is typically 3 hours. If interested, submit your resume including a 
telephone contact number and email address. Responses will be accepted 
through Tuesday, October 13.

8. Job Fair volunteers needed

Over 130 employers will be participating in this semester's Job & 
Internship Fair. That's 130 different employers to connect with by 
volunteering!

We're looking for students to do check-in and work the loading dock. 
Positions are available on October 7th and 8th in the morning and

9. Koch Associate Program accepting applications

The Koch Associate Program is a year-long, competitively paid program based 
in Washington, D.C. It offers each Associate the opportunity to work full-
time at a think tank, policy organization or other non-profit organization 
while also learning and applying Market-Based Management in the non-profit 
sector.

One day of each work week is spent in a seminar setting at the Foundation 
immersed in Market-Based Management (MBM) - the management philosophy that 
enables an organization to succeed long term by applying the principles 
that allow a free society to prosper. Associates engage in reading 
discussions and group projects, networking with their peers, learning from 
guest speakers and applying MBM through interactive exercises and workshops.

Associates range in experience from recent graduates to those with up to 
ten years of work experience, and come from many diverse fields and 
academic backgrounds. Applications are due by March 1, 2010.

Available positions include:
Policy research and analysis
Non-profit operations
Grassroots education
Fundraising and donor relations
Communication and public relations
