Dear Students,

Judith Adkins, the Personal Statement Specialist for Mason's Postgraduate 
Fellowships and Scholarships Program, and for the Writing Center, will 
offer a Personal Statement Workshop on Monday, October 26, from 7:00 to 
9:00 PM in Thompson 138.  The first hour or so will focus on the nuts and 
bolts of writing personal statements (personal essays for application to 
graduate school, professional school, fellowships, and scholarships).  The 
second part of the session will consist of a free-writing exercise to help 
students begin generating material for a personal statement.  The event is 
free and open to the Mason community.
