To land a job you have to answer some tough questions. Improve your 
interviewing skills by practicing with employers visiting campus from local 
companies.

Stop by for a short visit with a career counselor. Walk-ins are done on a 
first come, first served basis. Examples of walk-in topics:
Resume or cover letter critiques
Quick questions on job or internship searches, interviewing or networking
Using PatriotJobWeb, including questions on how to set up a search agent

Walk-in Schedule
Mondays 2 - 4 pm
Tuesdays 10 am - noon (and 4:30 - 6:30 pm when classes are in session)
Wednesdays 2 - 4 pm
Thursdays 2 - 4 pm

6. Conference for Students Interested in Law School
The Virginia State Bar - Young Lawyers Conference will once again host the 
Southern Virginia Minority Pre-Law Conference at Washington & Lee 
University School of Law on Saturday, September 12.

The conference will focus on the law school application process, the LSAT, 
the realities of being a law student and numerous career opportunities in 
law.

Attending students will:
Hear directly from Admissions personnel who review applications
Understand the LSAT and what it takes to get a good score
Participate in our mock law class
Learn about the different career options in the legal field

The FBI Washington Field Office Volunteer Internship Program

What would it be like to work with the premier law enforcement agency in 
the country? To learn about advanced FBI technologies, methodologies, 
intelligence gathering and beyond? How far, and in what directions, could 
your talents and interests take you? Now you can learn the answers to these 
questions and gain an exclusive insight into a career of a lifetime, by 
applying to the FBI's Washington Field Office Volunteer Internship Program.

To apply: U.S. citizenship is required. Postmark your application package 
by Monday, September 28. A full application package contains the following:

• FBI 646C Preliminary Application
• Volunteer Internship Program Academic Certification Form
• Federal Bureau of Investigation Institute Internship Placement Agreement
• Waiver of Compensation Form
• Personal Resume
• Transcripts: may be non-official
• Statement of Interest: a 500 word essay expressing student's interest in 
the program
• One Passport-sized Photograph
