Dear Students,
If you will be finishing up your degree requirements in the summer 2014 semester, please file your graduation application on Patriot Web now. Information may be found on http://registrar.gmu.edu/students/graduation/timelines/ If you have filed for graduation in a previous semester, you'll need to withdraw that application in order to re-file for summer graduation: http://registrar.gmu.edu/forms/graduation/ "withdraw graduation application".

Deadline to apply for summer 2014 graduation is July 3.

Please Note: It is best to go ahead and file for graduation if there is a chance you may finish up and defend by July 25. You can always withdraw it at a later date if you will not finish in time.

Thesis and dissertation students will contact the thesis & dissertation coordinator at Fenwick Library for a format review (http://thesis.gmu.edu/) This is a required step for graduation. Send them your draft early, do not wait until you have a final version. Set up your thesis defense date with your committee members now - again, do not wait since faculty schedules fill up quickly. The last date to hold a thesis defense for summer graduation will be July 25. Follow the time line for finishing up your thesis in summer, http://ssb.gmu.edu/students/index.cfm "Deadlines" in red type at the bottom of the screen. Contact me for summer thesis or dissertation registration (799 or 999 credits).

Biology Project students need to complete the oral and written comprehensive exams before the degree conferral date found on http://registrar.gmu.edu/calendars/, and turn in the project report to their committee.

Any questions please let me know.

Thank you,
Diane St. Germain
