Dear Students,
Now that the spring semester is over I hope you will take some time to
relax - perhaps just for a day ! I hope you all had a successful semester.

If you have not yet done so, *please register now for your fall classes*
on Patriot Web <https://patriotweb.gmu.edu>. You may make changes to
your schedule (add or drop classes) until two weeks after classes
start, but many times graduate-level classes are canceled for low
enrollment and we want to ensure the class you need will be offered.

For students who need to maintain *full-time status for visa, financial
aid or health insurance purposes,* 9 credits per semester is considered
full time. If you have a GRA or a GTA and will be taking less than 9
credits, please fill in the full-time equivalent form found on
http://registrar.gmu.edu/forms/GAF.pdf
PhD students who are taking 1 credit of BIOS 999 and need to be
certified as full time may fill out the form on
http://registrar.gmu.edu/forms/DDR.pdf

If you will be working with a professor this fall on a *lab rotation
(BIOS 703) or a directed study (BIOL 693, BIOS 898, 899)*, please send
me an email to request the CRN to register with. Directed studies forms
are found on http://mmb.gmu.edu/index.php?content=147#146 . An email
from the professor giving permission for a lab rotation is needed. I
would like to have you register now for lab rotations and independent
study courses.

Please send the forms to my attention at MS 1H8, email them as an
attachment, or fax to 993-8976.

Any questions about your degree program or course requirements please
let me know! I am happy to assist you.

Thank you,
Diane St. Germain
