Dear Masters Students,
A reminder that if you will be finishing up your thesis in spring or summer 2015, you should be following the time line posted on http://ssb.gmu.edu/students/index.cfm "Deadlines" in red type at the bottom of the screen.
Thesis students will contact the thesis & dissertation coordinator at Fenwick Library for a format review (http://thesis.gmu.edu/) This is a required step for graduation. Send them your draft early, do not wait until you have a final version. Set up your thesis defense date with your committee members now - again, do not wait since faculty schedules fill up quickly. Please email me to reserve a room once you have your defense date.
The last date to hold a thesis defense for spring graduation will be April 24.
Biology Project students need to complete the oral and written comprehensive exams before the degree conferral date found on http://registrar.gmu.edu/calendars/, and turn in the project report to their committee. I've attached a time line for students completing a project.
Bioinformatics & Comp Biology Project students will complete their report for a grade, and present their research findings in a poster session at Student Research Day in Bull Run Hall on April 29, 2015.
Only Bioinformatics students are required to present their research at Student Research Day, but I encourage all students to participate.
Any questions please let me know!
Thank you,
Diane St. Germain
