Subject: Graduate Student Meetings for Friday 11/15 with Dr. Annie Qu and Robert Santos

Hello everyone,

I hope that your semester is going well. It is just a few more weeks until winter break!

This Friday, we have quite packed schedule with two visitors. First, we are also hosting Dr. Annie Qu (UC Irvine), who will be presenting at our departmental seminar. Next, our GMU ASA chapter will be holding a meeting with Robert Santos, who is the 26th Director of the Census Bureau. He will be discussing the statistical work being done at the Census, job pipelines, and answering general questions.

We would like all of our students to attend the seminars and the meetings. The schedule for our supported graduate students is as follows:

10am-11am: Student Seminar (ENGR 1109)

11am-12pm: Departmental Seminar (ENGR 1109)

12pm-12:30pm: Lunch with Robert Santos (ENGR1602)

12:30pm-1:30/1:45pm: Meeting with Robert Santos (ENGR 1109)

2pm-2:30pm: Meeting with Annie Qu (ENGR 1602)

Since we are hosting two important speakers, we are requiring all supported students to attend the following. Attendance will be taken for all events and a report will be sent to Drs. Sun and Wang.

Thank you!

Best,

Ben
