Dear all,
Thank you to those who have indicated you will be attending the November 10 Title IX Training.
For those who have responded to state that you will not be able to make the Title IX training due to your celebration of Veteran’s Day, for personal reasons, or due to scheduling
conflicts, please note that The Office of the Dean and the Office of Diversity Outreach, and Inclusive Learning will have two more Title IX trainings in Spring of 2024 (early February and late March).
Each training is specifically for the individuals who have not yet met the Title IX mandate of being trained in 2023/2024. Please look out for announcements regarding exact training dates in the new year.
Also note that Deputy Title IX Coordinators across GMU colleges have been informed that in some cases staff, faculty, and students are not utilizing the Title IX resources
in their colleges in a manner reflecting the size of those colleges. As a result, more interactive Title IX trainings where questions can be asked, feedback can be given, and clarity can be provided regarding how to use Title IX resources in CEC to navigate
particular topics or circumstances that may fall under Title IX or EEO is another method of training that DOIL is employing in addition to the less interactive training that can be in found Mason Leaps.
Should you have further questions, please did not hesitate to reach out.
We look forward to you all participating in your required training for the 2023/2024 year.
Regards,
