Graduate Students Explore Research Careers Outside Academia
Please encourage graduate students who are interested in exploring research careers in industry, government, and/or nonprofits to watch Exploring Research Careers Outside Academia on Tuesday, March 21, from 2:00 – 3:30 p.m. This event will feature a panel of Mason graduate alumni who work in research-related roles in applied settings, as well as a representative from Sony who will provide an employer perspective. After the panel, University Career Services will share strategies and resources for research job searches. Register here.

Encourage Students to Run for Grad Student Leadership Positions with GAPSA 
The Graduate and Professional Student Association (GAPSA) is looking for students interested in serving on the GAPSA Executive Board for 2023-2024. Faculty who know students who want to help build a community among graduate and professional students at Mason, advocate to improve the graduate student experience, or are looking for ways to build their leadership experience alongside other committed and creative student leaders should encourage them to apply. All GAPSA Executive Officer positions are open for election, and more information, along with the application process, can be found on the GAPSA Elections page. To run for an Executive Officer position, graduate and professional students must submit a complete GAPSA Executive Officer Candidacy Application by 11:55 p.m. on Thursday, March 23.
