All, here is the monthly performance report for CEC research through April 2022. Only two more months to report in FY22.

EXPENDITURES: At $70.9M, expenditures from May 1, 2021, through April 30, 2022, are down slightly from what we were seeing the last three months, but still 15% than a year ago, when we logged $61.7M. BENG and ME both set records. CS had its best performance since December 2020.

AWARDS: At $63.1M, awards from May 1, 2021, through April 30, 2022, are also down a little from what we were seeing recently and also down from $69.5M logged a year ago. No records set by any department or center this time. Nevertheless, compared to a year ago, BENG is up 84%, CS and IST more than doubled, the Dean’s office almost tripled, and ME is up 7x.

PROPOSALS: At $157.5M, proposals are down slightly from a year ago, when they were $159.8M. BENG and ME set records reflecting their steady growth in research.

INDIRECT: At $7.7M, indirect is up 5.5% from a year ago, when it was $7.3M. ME set a record, and SEOR had its best total in almost four years.

Hope everyone enjoys the summer.
