The Department of Mechanical Engineering is pleased to host a proposal development panel on November 19 at 9am. This panel features Walter Jones and George Hazelrigg providing tips for proposal
success to DoD agencies and NSF.
Walter Jones is the Chancellor of the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT). Previously he was the Executive Director of the Office of Naval Research. He is currently an affiliate faculty member

George Hazelrigg is a research faculty member in Mason's Department of Mechanical Engineering following a 35 year career with the National Science Foundation (NSF). His time at NSF included service
as deputy division director and acting division director for the Division of Electrical, Communications, and Systems Engineering (ECSE) and the Division of Civil, Mechanical and Manufacturing Innovation (CMMI). Full bio: https://mechanical.gmu.edu/node/476
