Hi Everyone,

Greetings to all new students, and welcome back to those who are returning! The History Graduate Student Organization (HGSO) Board would like to share a few things.

Who we are:

We are a student-run organization for History grad students. We facilitate social activities, host workshops and write-ins, and send representatives to the Graduate and Professional Student Association (GAPSA). We will tell you more at the Colloquium on September 13.

We communicate primarily through Slack. To participate in our many exciting channels, and to stay updated about events, please join the HGSO Slack: https://join.slack.com/t/gmuhgso/shared_invite/zt-9i5of2dx-jrLtKRfi4bKzerqCiTql9w

To join the HGSO, all you need to do is: join the Slack channel, and have a GPA of at least 3.0.

Slack is a new way to communicate with your team. It’s faster, better organized, and more secure than email.
