Applications are invited for funded research positions in the Cybersecurity Engineering (CYSE) Department at Volgenau School of Engineering, George Mason University. Selected students will be involved in conducting theoretical and experimental research at the intersection of wireless communications and networking (5G/6G cellular networks), AI/ML and cybersecurity. The students will have the opportunity to write scholarly articles to publish their research work in reputed IEEE and ACM conferences and journals. Minimum qualification: Good understanding of wireless communications, strong programming skill in Python or any other language, and some exposure to machine learning techniques.
Preferred qualification: Background in 5G/Next-G technologies will be a plus. Hands-on experience with wireless communication testbeds, open-source cellular software (such as, srsLTE or OAI) and software-defined radios (such as, USRP N210 or X310s) will be a big plus.
