Subject: Auburn University - "Preparing Future Faculty" Free Virtual Workshop
I am contacting you to share an opportunity to participate in a “Preparing Future Faculty Virtual Workshop,” which is designed for Ph.D.
students and postdocs interested in pursuing academic careers in STEM fields.
This program is open to anyone interested in a future faculty position; those who are going on the academic job market in
2022 might find it of particular value.
The workshop will be spread out virtually over several sessions (See the attached flyer for information). This is a free event.
As you can see in the flyer, the workshop will include sessions on how to obtain a faculty position (hiring process, preparing documents,
interviewing, negotiating) and how to be successful in beginning an academic career (articulating research, prioritizing activities, work-life balance). You will also have the opportunity to engage with other aspiring academics to expand your network of colleagues
and collaborators.
