Subject: UK Grad student searching for research assistance at Nat. Archives

Hi Sam,

There's a UK graduate student seeking research assistance at the National Archives. I, of course, am not in the DC area and wanted to share the opportunity with you. Could you share on the grad student listservs?

Here's Chris Slocombe's message:

As a part-time grad student, I often find it difficult to travel for research (with my full-time job and all), so I thought I'd reach out and ask your thoughts about hiring a researcher for work in the National Archives. I'm looking to hire someone to work in the Military Records there and have a specific list of sources I'm looking to obtain pictures of.

I've found that hiring fellow grad students can be a nice way to have someone I trust in the archives while at the same time providing some income to students who are often in need of it. Do you or any of your fellow grad students at George Mason do (or are open to considering doing) some research like this? Thought I'd at least inquire - thanks!

Those interested can reach Chris directly at <[log in to unmask]>.

Best,

John
