CASBBI has fantastic interdisciplinary activities and is a leader of multidisciplinary NRT. Although Statistics is not one of the initial participating departments, they welcome our faculty's participation and (eligible) students' applications to the NRT program. It provides one-year support with a stipend of $34K + tuition and other benefits. See the message below with irrelevant parts removed.  It is possible to develop an interdisciplinary dissertation/research that contributes to both statistics and an interdisciplinary area.

These competitive grants are a new funding opportunity for master’s and doctoral students.
