SPOTLIGHT:
Last semester, in BENG 414 (Human Pathophysiology and New Tech.), students were given a series of research assignments to write within the four main modules: Neurology,
OB/GYN, Oncology, and Cardiology. For the OB/GYN module, there was the extra incentive of getting published if the papers were up to standard. At the end of the semester, Amad Qureshi’s and Aanchal Mathur’s paper relating to the use of artificial intelligence
in aiding the diagnosis/management of urinary incontinence were selected to be published jointly. Over the past semester, they have been working alongside Dr. Alshiek, Dr. Shobeiri, and Dr. Wei to combine their respective work and prepare a manuscript
for publishing. After the review process, the paper was finally published in the Open Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology in the April 2021 issue. CONGRATULATIONS!
