The Art of Successful Grant Writing (POGO 750-D14)

Have you ever thought about writing grants?  Are you interested in a career with a non-profit agency?  Do you like working in a team to create something that will bring money for a focused project?  If so, this practical, skills-based course will provide you with the ability to work with a range of resources to identify potential funding sources, develop proposal narratives, prepare budgets, and understand other essential aspects of writing proposals for funding.  There are no prerequisite(s) for the course and no tests will be given; there is a major written project with a follow-up oral presentation at the end of the semester.  The instructor, Research Professor Judith Wilde, has spent much of her career writing grants that various government agencies and foundations have funded.  She will guide you through the process to identify a small team of classmates to write a grant.
