HIVE is the bioinformatics tool used by the FDA to research and evaluate clinical trials and another research, and GWU maintains the only operational clone of this platform. There are several projects in our group, the flagship project is BioCompute, which aims to standardize the communication of bioinformatic workflows. An instance of a workflow written in the BioCompute format is called a BioCompute Object (BCO). [Flyer] Summer Research Experience for Undergraduates in Nanoscience and Engineering
We are now accepting applications for the summer 2021 NSF REU program in Nanoscience and Nanoengineering at Vanderbilt University. The Vanderbilt Institute of Nanoscale Science and Engineering (VINSE) focuses on interdisciplinary nanoscale research at the interface of biology, chemistry, physics, and engineering.

Society of Asian Scientists and Engineers (SASE) Internship
Through this program, our interns will be able to shadow an officer (or officers) of their choice to learn what it takes to be a SASE leader. Becoming an intern will also allow you the opportunity to cultivate your skills in event planning, leadership, and teamwork as you will be working alongside current SASE officers in behind-the-scenes processes in running an organization.
