I am writing to alert you to an online event on Monday: https://historyarthistory.gmu.edu/events/11569

On Monday, November 2, 3-4:15 PM, online, GMU's own Sam Lebovic will be speaking on "Fake News & American Media History." Although this online talk is part of a regular course, HIST 389: The History of the Election of 2020, Prof. Lebovic's talk is open to the public.

Professor Lebovic is an Associate Professor in the Department of History & Art History. His teaching & research interests include mass media, democracy, political economy, and the role of the US in the world. He is the author of Free Speech and Unfree News: The Paradox of Press Freedom in America, which won the Organization of American Historians Ellis W. Hawley Prize for best book on the history of the political economy, politics, or institutions of the US from the Civil War to the present.

All are welcome!
