Subject: Webinar series on Frontiers in Bioengineering Research
Dear Colleagues:
As the COVID-19 pandemic unfolds across the globe, in-person seminar series at our universities have been cancelled; conferences and workshops postponed, re-scheduled or cancelled; and research activities significantly ramped down. To help keep our students
engaged, enhance their educational experience, and gain new knowledge in bioengineering and biomedical research, including COVID-19 research, Rice Bioengineering has organized a weekly webinar series, Frontiers
in Bioengineering Research, to be held on Thursdays 3:00pm-4:30pm CDT. Starting this Thursday April 16th, 2020, each webinar has two 30-minute presentations that feature cutting-edge research in bioengineering, following by a short Q&A session. All faculty
and traineesin bioengineering and biomedical engineering departments are welcome to participate by clicking ‘JOIN THE WEBINAR’ on the following website, which gives more details
on the webinar series:

The first 4 webinars in the series highlight Synthetic Biology for COVID-19 Research (4/16), Immunoengineering and Immunotherapy (4/23), COVID-19 Diagnosis and Critical Care (4/30), and Antibody-based Diagnostics and Therapeutics (5/7), with speakers from different
institutions in the US and Canada. More topics will be announced shortly.
With best regards, and please stay safe.
