The Commonwealth Graduate Education Day is approaching - November 1, 2019 at the University of Virginia. Each year the Virginia Council for Graduate Schools hosts an opportunity for students to learn about opportunities in graduate education at institutions throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia.  We are pleased to announce that Mason will be well-represented at this year’s event, to include several graduate students and faculty from seven different disciplines from across the University. Attached you will find information on Sunset of Cooperative Education.  In order for an F-1 student to be authorized by the DSO to participate in a curricular practical training program it needs to be an integral part of an established curriculum. How can you help? Review programs in your college/school and ensure that internship or practicum opportunities are either (a) a required component of an academic program, or (b) undertaken for academic credit (preferably, but not necessarily, counted toward degree requirements).
