Dear Colleague:
George Mason University's 13th annual STAR-TIDES tech
demo is quickly approaching! It is scheduled for October 1-2, 2019 on Merten Lawn.
STAR-TIDES (Sharing To Accelerate Research-Transformative Innovation for Development and Emergency Support) is a research
project dedicated to open-source knowledge sharing to encourage community and individual resilience to natural and man-made disasters and promote human security (“freedom from want “and “freedom from fear”). It stems from a research program at the U.S. National

diverse organizations where there is no unity of control. STAR-TIDES addresses situations within the U.S. or outside, short term and long term, and with or without military involvement. No government organization covers such a range.
Join us to share insights and experiences to address cross-cutting issues. The scenarios will include:
Exhibitors can link up with Mason faculty and students, other participants, and commercial and government partners on any topic. Those exhibiting at Mason will be invited to display in Pentagon Center Court on Oct. 3 and 4.
