Graduate Research Assistant for Digital Scholarship
Application details:

The Digital Scholarship Center (DiSC) at Fenwick Library is seeking a Graduate Research Assistant (GRA) from a humanities or social sciences discipline. The GRA will be based in the Digital Scholarship Center and will assist students and faculty with the software and tools needed to carry out digital research methods.



Graduate Research Assistant for Special Collections Digital Collections

The Special Collections Research Center (SCRC) in Mason Libraries is seeking a Graduate Research Assistant from a humanities or social sciences discipline. The student will support research, information organization, curation and scholarship to enhance student learning and faculty use through engagement with digital primary source materials, particularly related to the Digital Virginias collection initiative.



Graduate Professional Assistant for Preservation

Application details:


The Preservation Services Department of the University Libraries is seeking a GPA to work with the unit head and other departmental staff on a preservation needs assessment survey. This position will begin in Fall 2019 and has the possibility of renewal for Spring 2020. Over the course of the assistantship, the GPA will gain familiarity with how to gather, organize, and analyze data, specifically using web-based open source software applications for the preservation assessment of audiovisual, photographic, paper, and bound materials commonly held in libraries and archives as well as stone, ceramics, glass, and metal object often found in museums.
