Andrew ================================= The Department of Computer Science at Tulane University has an immediate opening for a full-time postdoctoral fellow. The position is part of a DARPA-funded collaborative project and is jointly conducted by Carola Wenk at Tulane University, and by Andreas Züfle, Dieter Pfoser, and Andrew Crooks at George Mason University (GMU). The project combines urban spatial simulation, agent-based modeling, and large-scale computing in the context of social science. The responsibilities for this position include (1) implementation of scalable agent logic in Java, (2) running large-scale simulations on Tulane's HPC cluster, (3) processing large data obtained from the simulations, and (4) publishing results. The postdoctoral fellow will collaborate closely with two postdoctoral fellows at GMU. Additional opportunities to teach classes are available in the Department of Computer Science at Tulane. Start date and duration: This is an immediate opening and the position will be filled as soon as possible. The duration of the project, and the position, is until the end of June 2020.
