Fall Class Schedule Conflicts:
Some of our classes currently pose time conflicts and will be rescheduled. This may take until the beginning of April.
Controls and Overrides: Many of the BENG classes for Fall 2019 have controls. The controls will be lifted after grades have posted. The
exact date will be announced. Students who will take BENG 492 in fall 2019 or spring 2020, please email me for an override of BENG 391 (which is now senior seminar I). Students who are graduating in fall and still need BENG 420 please email me as well for
an override.

BENG 417 – Bioengineering World Health:
You always wanted to take a class abroad as an engineer and have it count as a Technical Elective? BENG 417 is a fall lecture with an abroad experience over winter break in Guatemala. Students live in home stays and
work at remote hospitals paired with students from the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). Please let me know ASAP if you are interested in this course. See flyer for more info.
SUMMER CLASSES AT HOME: Are you considering taking a class or two at home. Please fill out a
STUDY ELSEWHERE form at your earliest convenience.
No class credit without prior approval. Deadline at my office April 15th.

Gowns for Grads
- lends commencement regalia to students that are unable to purchase their own cap and gown. The Spring 2019 Gowns for Grads application is now open. New this
semester is an option for anyone affected by the furlough to apply for the program. Students can go to
https://ulife.gmu.edu/students/gowns-for-grads-lending-program/ to apply. The deadline is May 6, 2019 and applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Any questions can be

VSE UG Research Celebration

If you have
completed a research or scholarly project, or have one in progress, please consider participating in the poster session. Cash Prizes of $1000 will be awarded for the most outstanding projects.

The deadline to submit proposals for inclusion in the VSE Undergraduate Research Celebration is Friday, March 22. Proposals need to include a title and abstract of the project. Please submit your proposals
here. You will be notified via email by Friday, March 29 if your poster is accepted. Award decisions will be made during the poster session and the celebration will
conclude with an award ceremony.
