Dear VSE Instructional Faculty:

You should have received today (Feb 28) an email from the Collaborative on Academic Careers" with the subject "Please Complete the COACHE Faculty Survey for Mason." If you haven't, you have probably filled out the survey; thank you! If you have received the email, please do not delete the email, and take the time to fill out the survey. It takes about 20 minutes, so if you prefer do it over the weekend.

GMU has contracted with COACHE to conduct the survey. COACHE itself is a Harvard-led project that has already surveyed faculty satisfaction at dozens of universities. The objective is to allow an external team of experts survey the faculty and determine sources of satisfaction and/or dissatisfaction among Mason faculty. We will have the opportunity to compare our satisfaction against a set of peer universities. In particular the survey can also identify sources of satisfaction / dissatisfaction among VSE faculty. The goal is to learn from this, and improve the Mason faculty experience, and the Provost is determined that actions will be taken as a result of the survey. A followup survey will be repeated in 2022.

The survey itself is anonymous and entirely processed by Harvard personnel. Please take the time to make your voice heard!
