Martin Slawski, assistant professor in the Department of Statistics, received $174,942 from the National Science Foundation for “New Directions in Learning from
Data with Faulty Correspondence.”
Thomas LaToza, assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science, received a CAREER Award from the National Science Foundation for “Debugging Mental Models.”
Anticipated funding is $514,962.

administration and policy), has been selected for base funding by a team led by the Office of the Provost and Executive Vice President S. David Wu. This group meets weekly. Pizza and coffee are provided.
