The Mercatus Center at George Mason University has several fellowships for graduate students at George Mason University. Applications for the 2019-2020 academic year are now open!
The Dissertation
Fellowship is a one year, renewable, competitive fellowship program for students who have advanced to candidacy in their PhD program at Mason and are working on dissertations that aim at understanding how social change occurs and
how to create a freer society. Submissions are encouraged from Political Science, Public Policy, Cultural Studies, History, Sociology, and all related fields in the humanities and social sciences. The fellowship can vary to include research support, stipends,
and tuition support. The application deadline is February 1, 2019.
The Frédéric
Bastiat Fellowship is a one-year, competitive fellowship program for graduate students interested in public policy who are enrolled in master’s, juris doctoral, and doctoral programs from any university and in any discipline including,
but not limited to, economics, law, political science, and public policy. Frédéric Bastiat Fellows receive a stipend and attend colloquia on public policy. It is a total award of up to $5,000 for the year. The application deadline is
March 1, 2019.
