The event, “Transformers: Defense” will be headlined by Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Joseph Dunford. The Chairman will discuss key threats facing America now and, in the future, and how the U.S. military is preparing for them. Director of the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency Dr. Steven H. Walker will be on hand to assess how the United States and other nations are reducing their reliance on the traditional machinery of war fighting and adapting military strategy to next-generation technology. David Ignatius, Washington Post columnist will moderate the discussion. We’re excited about the opportunity to get our messages and our people in front of security experts, top technology thinkers, policymakers and key influencers in the area. Three Mason Engineering seniors have created a robotic fish that can navigate water through wireless commands. Eventually, marine biologists and environmentalists will use robotic fish to track aquatic life and monitor the conditions of the ocean, rivers, and lakes.
