Subject: CAORC Multi-Country Fellowships - Opportunity for PhD Students

Greetings!

Before heading off on break, please remind PhD students in your programs about the CAORC Multi-Country Fellowships, which fund comparative international research!

Council of American Overseas Research Centers

MULTI-COUNTRY RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP  https://www.caorc.org/fellowships

The CAORC Multi-Country Research Fellowship Program supports advanced regional or trans-regional research in the humanities, social sciences, or allied natural sciences for U.S. doctoral candidates and scholars who have already earned their PhD. Preference will be given to candidates examining comparative and/or cross-regional research. Applicants are eligible to apply as individuals or in teams.

Scholars must carry out research in two or more countries outside the United States, at least one of which hosts a participating American overseas research center. Approximately eight awards of up to $10,500 each will be given. Funding is provided by the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.

This fellowship program is currently accepting applications. The deadline is January 24, 2019.

Many of the member institutes of CAORC also offer their own fellowships for PhD students.  See: https://www.caorc.org/where-we-work
