Take Back the Night

October 2, 2018. 7:30PM  Wilkins Plaza aka North Plaza, JC - Clock Tower 

Take Back the Night is an annual gathering held in support of the end of sexual and domestic violence. This event is a safe place for all. During the event, any survivor who would like to share their story is welcome to. This is an awareness space, so reports will not need to be made to CDE if you choose to share.

If you would like to be one of the students sharing a narrative at the event, please contact Caitlyn at [log in to unmask] We will work with you to set up a time to talk with a confidential advocate about Take Back the Night and how you can be involved.

The Clothesline Project at Mason

October 15-19, 2018 

The Clothesline Project is a global effort to raise awareness about sexual and intimate partner violence. Survivors and supporters decorate shirts to honor victims and break the silence surrounding these crimes.

Chapter Next

October 18, 2018. 4:00-6:00PM, Johnson Center, Dewberry Hall

The Women and Gender Studies Center, the LEAD Office, and the Student Support and Advocacy Center are gearing up for Chapter Next: Ending Sexual Violence.  We are committed to not only purposefully educating our campus and community about sexual violence, but we are also asking for a Call to Action to encourage ongoing discussions, trainings, educations, programming, and outreach to help end sexual violence on our campus.
