Spring 2018 Reading Days Cancelled Now
makeup days for classes cancelled due to inclement weather. For classes canceled on Friday, March 2, the makeup day is Monday, May 7 (no longer a Reading Day). For classes canceled on Wednesday, March 21, the makeup day is Tuesday, May 8 (no longer a Reading
Day). Instructors should contact students directly via Mason email or Blackboard regarding any assignment adjustments for the course. Undergraduate NEWS:
BIOL 213 changes: For students who need BIOL 213 in fall please sign up for the BIOL 213-007 class with Dr. Hoemann. This
class is different from the regular BIOL 213 classes and will be mandatory for our BENG students starting this fall 2018.
CHEM 251 (4 credits) is NOW CHEM 271(3 credits) and its lab CHEM 272 (1 credit) ENGH 302:
Students have to take a
Literature Elective first before
taking ENGH 302!

Fall 2018 Multidisciplinary Senior Design
| Deadline: Friday, April 13 Volgenau School of Engineering will be offering the first multidisciplinary section for senior design in Fall 2018. Students from Bio, Civil, Computer, Electrical, and Mechanical
Engineering will partner to attack problems that span their respective disciplines. Students must apply by Friday April 6th to be considered for the section. The application can be found at

Fulbright US Student Program competition| Deadline: Wednesday, July 1 Grants are available for students to conduct independent research or serve as an English Teaching Assistant abroad for up to one year. U.S. citizenship is required. Interested candidates
and those who wish to learn more are invited to attend an information session.
A full schedule of upcoming sessions is attached. This year for the first time, Fulbright information sessions will be offered in the form of live webinars in addition to in-person sessions held on campus. Prospective applicants must: (1) attend an information session and (2) thoroughly review the Fulbright U.S. Student Program website us.fulbrightonline.org prior to booking an appointment
