My name is Phyllis Jestice; I’m chair of the History Department at the College of Charleston. A last-minute resignation from my faculty has given us an opportunity for a last-second visiting assistant professor hire. The position has just been approved (about 8 minutes ago) and I write to you in hope that you can help spread the word among any recently-finished or almost finished Ph.D. students you might have, or people who were unlucky in this year’s job market, etc., and who would find a year at the College of Charleston a very attractive option (the pay will be $48,000). Our fall classes start on August 22, so we don’t have any time to spare!
