Description:
We are searching for an intern for the CBRN Defense Technologies Division.
Job Description:
Analytic and program support for Combating Weapons of Mass Destruction efforts in a fast-paced and time-sensitive work environment. Must be customer and detail oriented, a hands-on team player, and task and deadline motivated. Strong Microsoft Powerpoint, Excel,
and Word skills and experience required. Excellent written and oral communication skills needed for internal and external customer liaison.
• Maintain and update client priorities tracking database using Microsoft Excel and Access
• Take part in program development efforts including portfolio analyses, risk assessment and drafting technical requirements
• Translate scientific and technical principles into “laymen’s” terms for non-scientific audience
• Support the customer in preparing briefings and responses to external agencies, including the Executive Branch and Congress
• Compile and disseminate weekly, monthly and quarterly reports
• Support compilation and dissemination of other reports, as needed
• Prepare presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint
Location: Alexandria, VA
Salary Level: This is a paid hourly position.
Qualifications:
• Must be a US Citizen. Clearance desirable.
• Bachelors degree in a national security related field. Under graduate with one semester remaining will be considered.
• Strong Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Access skills and experience
• Excellent oral and written communication skills for problem resolution and customer liaison.
