Dear Colleague,We cordially invite you to submit a paper to the upcoming 2017 13th International Conference on Natural Computation, Fuzzy Systems and Knowledge Discovery (ICNC-FSKD 2017), to be held from 29-31 July 2017 in Guilin, China. The deadline for the 2nd (final) round of submissions is 16 May 2017 (papers already submitted in the previous round should not be re-submitted and will receive review notifications on 15 April). As with the past ICNC-FSKD conferences, all papers in conference proceedings will be submitted to EI Compendex, Scopus, and ISTP (ISI Proceedings), as well as IEEE Xplore (all previous ICNC-FSKD conferences from 2005 to 2016 have been indexed in Ei Compendex). Extended versions of selected best papers will appear in SCIE-indexed international journals, such as Soft Computing (Impact Factor: 1.63), Neurocomputing (Impact Factor: 2.39), Concurrency and Computation: Practice and Experience (Impact Factor: 0.942). ICNC-FSKD 2017 is technically co-sponsored by the IEEE Circuits and Systems Society (pending). For more information, visit the conference web page:http://cloud.guet.edu.cn/icnc_fskd/

Hi all,
On behalf of Joel Lehman, Sebastian Risi and myself, I'm pleased to invite you to submit your videos of evolved virtual creatures to the fourth annual Virtual Creatures Competition, in conjunction with the Genetic and Evolutionary Computation Conference in Berlin (conference attendance not required for competition participation).
Entry Submission
Entrants must submit a video (up to 5 minutes in length), along with a brief description (one page maximum) describing the video and the evolutionary approach underlying it (with references to a more complete technical description if it exists). The video should demonstrate an evolved virtual creature (or many such creatures) engaging in interesting well-adapted behavior.
Important Dates
Submission deadline: June 6, 2017
Notification of Finalists: July 14, 2017
Conference: July 15-19, 2017
