The School of Systems Biology is interviewing three candidates for the position of Assistant Professor of Bioinformatics and Computational Biology in the next two weeks. Each candidate will give an hour-long seminar about their research, and all students, faculty, and staff are invited to attend -- This is a great opportunity for students to see what a research job talk consists of!

After each seminar, graduate students are invited to meet with the candidates for one hour. Below is the schedule – I am attaching the flyers for the week of April 17th, and will send the third one next week.
All seminars will be held at the Science & Tech (Prince William) campus.

  * Monday, April 17: Dr. Leili Shahriyari, "A New Perspective on Cancer: Stochastic modeling of cell dynamics after conventional treatments" Seminar 4:00-5:00pm, Grad student meetings 5:00pm-6:00pm in Colgan Hall 203

  * Wednesday, April 19: Dr. Aman Ullah, "Using Multiscale Modeling to Understand How Genetic Mutation Leads to Arrhythmia" Seminar 4:00-5:00 pm, Grad student meetings 5:00-6:00 pm in Colgan Hall 203

  * Wednesday, April 26: Dr. Vijender Chaitankar, "Integrative analysis of disparate next generation sequencing data sets reveal network dynamics of developing mammalian photoreceptors" Seminar 1:00-2:00 pm, Grad student meeting 2:00-3:00 pm in Colgan Hall 203
