Virginia Sea Grant is pleased to announce that the 2018 Sea Grant Knauss Marine Policy Fellowship deadline has been
extended to February 21, 2017.
Please help us share this announcement broadly with students who may be interested or planning to apply. This deadline extension is occurring in conjunction with an increase in the total
award amount for 2018 Knauss Marine Policy Fellowships. Additional information on the fellowship can be found below and in the amended Federal Funding Opportunity (FFO) announcement attached to this email.

The Knauss Marine Policy Fellowship provides a unique educational experience in the policies and processes of the federal government to graduate students who have an interest in ocean,
coastal and Great Lakes resources and in the national policy decisions affecting these resources. Fellows are placed in various executive and legislative branch offices throughout Washington, D.C. The fellowship period is one year beginning February 1, 2018.
Any student, regardless of citizenship, who, on February 21, 2017, is enrolled towards a degree in a graduate or professional program in a relevant field at a Virginia institution is
eligible to apply through Virginia Sea Grant (VASG). A full list of application materials and additional information on eligibility can be found in the
Announcement of Federal Funding Opportunity
(FFO). Applicants must submit all materials to VASG via eSeaGrant by 5:00pm EST on February 21, 2017.
