Workshop:  NSF & How to Successfully Compete for Research Dollars

Mason faculty, staff, and students are invited to a workshop organized by the National Science Foundation. Modeled on National Science Foundation (NSF) Days, this workshop will provide basic insight and instruction on how to compete for NSF funding for science, engineering, and education research.

This half-day workshop will provide background on the NSF, its mission, priorities, and budget. Attendees will receive an overview on proposal writing, NSF's merit review process, programs that fall within its seven scientific and engineering directorates, and funding opportunities that cross disciplinary boundaries.

The workshop will take place on October 18 from 2:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. in The Hub, Ballroom.
